Facebook is a great way to tell a story of what is going on at your Center, what your Center is all about, and what you stand form. Facebook posts are not always top priority for a business childcare center director. Facebook can also be very overwhelming, there is so much to it, but we can show you easy ways to work this in your day in a simple way. Try these simple steps to get you started:
- Take 10 photos, walk around your Center, inside and out, and take photos of things and people you CAN post on your public Facebook page
- Download Facebook Pages on your phone, it’s a free app OR Go to your page on a desk top and then choose Publishing Tools
- Choose Create Post
- Take on of the photos, write something about it (NOT about enrolling), and then choose Schedule Post
- Schedule 1 post per day for the next 10 days
Now you have the next 10 days posted. Each day, as people engage with the post, interact with them. Like their comment, thank them if appropriate, and interact with their conversation.
How do you build upon the people who like your Facebook page?
- Anytime someone calls the Center, ask them if they like your Page, if not, direct them too it
- Include a note on all marketing material, letterhead, weekly / monthly newsletters that name your Facebook page and ask them to “Join The Conversation”
- Facebook advertise to get page likes from your local community
- Post one day “We’re trying to grow our Facebook following. Please share our page.”
Want to take it to the next level? Consider adding some posts:
- Add 2 posts a week with a link to your website, especially if you have a Contact Us page. Here is where you will say “Want to join the fun? Contact us today to learn more!”
- Go LIVE one day with a fun activity at your school
- Feature a Teacher A Week, talk about the amazing things your Teachers do and how invested they are in with the students and your Center
- Add a few quotes each week, funny, parental quotes that will make them laugh
